The shelter is not a listing. It is an account, with a record for every animal.

Most apps let you browse adoptable pets. Petifly gives the shelter the system behind it (animals, applications, checks, approvals, medical history, waiting time, donations and events) and gives the adopter an animal whose health book already exists and simply comes with them.

Shelters and rescues

A real account, not a page someone else maintains for you

On most platforms a shelter is a profile that a volunteer updates when there is time. In Petifly a shelter signs in to the same portal a vet clinic uses, and runs adoption from it: add an animal, publish it to the app, take applications, move each one through its stages, and see at a glance what is still open. Nobody has to email a spreadsheet to anybody.

Publish an animal in minutes

Photos, species, breed, age, size, temperament and story. It appears in the app for people nearby, and you can unpublish it just as fast.

Medical record

A shelter animal already has a health book, and it goes with them to their new home

This is the part nothing else does. In Petifly every animal has the same structured medical record whether it has an owner or not. The shelter records vaccinations, treatments, sterilisation, allergies and weight while the animal is in care. On the day it is adopted, that record transfers to the new owner instead of being retyped from a paper folder or lost.

A health book from day one

Opened when the animal arrives in care, not when it finds a home. Vaccinations, treatments, conditions, weight and documents, in structured fields.

The record transfers on adoption

History moves to the adopter's account with the animal. No folder of photocopies, no lost dates, no starting the story again at the first vet visit.

Applications and approvals

Adoption is a process with checks, not a message and a hope

A good adoption is a series of decisions, and each one should be recorded. In Petifly an application moves through defined stages, the shelter decides at each one, and both sides can see where things stand. That protects the animal from an unsuitable placement, and protects the shelter from having to reconstruct months later who agreed to what.

An animal that nobody sees is not adopted, and a shelter with no supplies cannot care for the ones it has.
